Food VAT criticism: A billion in tax up in smoke

Starting today, VAT on food will be reduced. Now there is criticism from the restaurant industry that different tax rates create hassles for consumers and restaurant owners. This is the wrong way to go, says Thomas Jakobsson, chief economist at the industry organization Visita.
