Jensen Huang Summoned by US House Committees Over Reports of Ties to Suspected Chinese Spy

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has been summoned to testify before US congressional committees following media reports that he had an affair with a suspected Chinese spy.

The Financial Times and The New York Times, among others, have reported, citing sources, that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had been having an affair with a woman who led one of the company's clients.

Following the reports, three committees in the US House of Representatives have requested that Huang appear on November 18. The subject of the hearing is described in the subpoena as "Nvidia's security practices against foreign espionage and your association with what is reported to be a Chinese intelligence officer".

The US has strict controls on advanced technology exports to China and is now said to fear that the woman is involved in attempts to influence the rules.

Nvidia has previously rejected the suspicions, explaining that it is perfectly natural for Huang to socialize with customers.
