US House backs bill to make daylight saving time permanent

The United States is moving toward permanent daylight saving time - if the House of Representatives gets its way. On Tuesday, the chamber passed a bill that would abolish the switch between winter and summer time, when clocks in most of the United States are set forward one hour.
