According to sources, Thomas Markle, who has previously denied any wrongdoing, is being held in custody in Tampa. The investigation into the 82-year-old Markle is shrouded in secrecy, CBS reports.
His daughter Meghan Markle, who is married to Britain's Prince Harry, said when the allegations became known in late October that she was "deeply shaken by the news that has come to light."
Last week, Philippine police announced that they were examining a laptop found at a residence said to have been Thomas Markle's former home. The laptop contained images of child abuse.
