Briton Jonathan Guinness, as he was actually named, died on Friday, October 30, The Times reports.
The Trustor scandal, which came to light in the late 1990s, was one of the biggest frauds of its time. Lord Moyne was the public face of the deal, in which the listed company Trustor was bought with its own money.
Lord Moyne was charged in connection with the scandal but was never convicted of a crime.
Joachim Posener was believed to be the ringleader, but he was never convicted.
