Stockholm Stock Exchange Falls After Wall Street’s Sharp Decline

After Wall Street’s sharp decline on Friday, the Stockholm Stock Exchange is also falling. The OMXS index is down 0.5 percent.

Friday’s grim close on Wall Street meant that the Nasdaq Composite Index, among others, recorded its worst monthly performance since March 2025. At the close, the broad S&P 500 had fallen 1.8 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index 2.9 percent, amid steep declines in the tech sector.

The negative trend is now also being felt on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, which is down slightly. Epiroc is leading the OMXS30, up 1.0 percent.

Earlier in the morning, Academedia, among others, released interim results showing sales in line with market expectations. Despite this, the share fell 2.5 percent.

Nuclear power company Studsvik has announced a change of CEO, and its share is down just over 3 percent.
