The Law Council considers penal reform - hasty

The Council of State for the Law has condemned the government's major criminal law reform, calling it "hasty" and rejecting the proposals in their entirety. "The proposals are so lacking in quality that they do not have the potential to become law," the statement says. Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer (M) does not agree with the Council of State's description.
