Region Skåne has reported the pediatric cardiologist to the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate (IVO), saying the doctor "may pose a risk to patient safety."
The region's investigation reveals that the doctor made a number of "questionable assessments" and repeatedly sent patients home in "far too poor a condition."
The same conclusion was drawn when the doctor was reported to IVO by Region Jönköping.
In September 2025, P4 Jönköping revealed that the doctor had incorrectly declared 78 children free of heart defects during his time as an employee of Region Jönköping.
According to DN, the dubious assessments reported by Region Skåne are said not to reach the same level of seriousness.
