World's Most Expensive Mushroom Sells for 53000 Kronor in Japan Auction

Eight Goliath mushrooms – also called the world's most expensive mushroom and common in Swedish forests – have been sold for 850,000 yen, equivalent to just over 53,000 kronor, at the season's first auction in the city of Tamba-Sasayama in western Japan, reports the Japanese newspaper Mainichi.
