E-commerce increased by 9 percent in December compared to the same month the previous year.

This is shown by the latest e-commerce indicator from Swedish Commerce. In total, e-commerce sales amounted to SEK 18.1 billion during the Christmas month.

This is the second month in a row that e-commerce has grown, according to the industry organization.

"After a weak start to the year, growth in e-commerce has been strong since this summer. Home electronics stands out in both the third and fourth quarters with very strong growth figures," Swedish Commerce writes in a press release.

Other categories that sold well include beauty and health products and pharmacy products.
