Around 350 employees at Scania are being bought out after the company's major layoffs this autumn, writes LT.

In September the truck manufacturer announced 750 job cuts in Sweden.

350 of the positions were in commercial units, while 400 were in HR. Scania told LT that no one was laid off, but that they have found voluntary solutions under which around 350 employees have been bought out. Some of those who were given notice were offered other positions within the company.

Scania has nearly 59,000 employees in more than 100 countries. The number of employees in Sweden was just over 22,800, according to the 2024 annual report.
