First opera in Sami – about the heart of the earth

On the main stage of the Royal Swedish Opera, an opera in Sami is being performed – for the first time in Europe. “The Heart of the Earth” – “Eatnama váibmu” – is a work that moves in mythological circles. It is historical and very special. We want to open up a whole new universe for the audience, says director Elle Márjá Eira to TT.
