Britta Byström is nominated for the music of “Eatnama Váibmu” (“Heart of the Earth”) - a newly written opera in Northern Sami. Per “Texas” Johansson is nominated for the work “The Worst Solution of All”.
The Nordic Council Music Prize has been awarded since 1965 and is worth 300,000 Danish kroner. This year's award ceremony for all the Nordic prizes will take place in connection with the Nordic Council session in Helsinki on 20 October.
