The series “9.3” is based on the 2014 book “9.3 on the Richter Scale,” written by Foreign Ministry official Andreas Norman. He was new to the job when he was sent to Thailand just a few days after the natural disaster to try to help distressed Swedes on the ground.
Malin Lagerlöf and Aron Levander are writing the script for the series, which is directed by Jens Sjögren. He is currently working on the film adaptation of Andrev Walden's book "Damn Men" and previously directed the film "I Am Zlatan".
Filming will begin later this year. Netflix has not yet announced the cast or when the series will premiere.
