Spencer Pratt, known from the TV series “The Hills,” is a Republican and recently announced his candidacy for mayor of Los Angeles. The city has a majority of Democratic voters and Republicans make up less than 15 percent of registered voters.
Spencer Pratt received support from President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
"I would like to see him do well. He's a personality. I've heard he's a big MAGA person. He's doing well," Trump said at a press conference, according to the Los Angeles Times.
According to the newspaper, Pratt has been in second and third place in the major opinion polls.
The primary election will be held on June 2.
