Chinese single men struggle to find a wife

After decades of the one-child policy and a long-standing preference for sons, China has a surplus of men. Now, they are doing everything they can to find a wife. This applies especially to men in rural areas. They have been left behind when many women have moved to cities in the hope of “marrying up.”
