Thousands of protesters marched through the Albanian capital Tirana on Saturday, criticizing the construction of a luxury hotel in which Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has invested.

The protests have been going on since the end of May, and AFP described Saturday's gathering as one of the largest to date.

The protests are rooted in frustration over what is perceived as corruption; among other things, protesters have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
