According to El Mundo, Gómez's passport has been confiscated and she will have to report to authorities twice a month until the verdict is handed down.
Begoña Gómez, who is married to the country's prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, is formally accused in several corruption cases but denies any wrongdoing.
The investigation into the allegations has been ongoing since April 2024 and concerns whether Gómez exploited her position as the wife of the socialist prime minister for her own gain.
Sánchez has on several occasions accused the investigation of being politically motivated.
