On Saturday night, five people were killed in Gaza City, including two parents and their two daughters, according to the civil defense in the Hamas-controlled area.
On Saturday evening, the civil defense announced that six more people had been killed, including a cameraman working for Al Jazeera. The Israeli military confirmed this but said the man was a “Hamas terrorist,” a claim for which the military has presented no evidence.
Since Israel and Hamas signed a ceasefire in October, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to local authorities.
Israel says it is continuing to fight the extremist group Hamas and has expanded the area under its military control.
