The attacks come after Israel and the Shiite militia Hezbollah signed a ceasefire agreement.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Sunday that the Israeli military has standing orders to act against any threats it encounters inside Lebanon. He also said that soldiers will remain in the so-called security zone established on Lebanese territory.

"As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have made clear: Israel will not withdraw from the security zone in Lebanon," Katz said.

The area he refers to extends about a mile into Lebanese territory.

Katz's statement comes as delegations from Iran and the United States meet in Switzerland for talks. Iran says the conflict in Lebanon is high on the agenda for the talks.
