The company Oceanwide Expeditions said in a press release that the crew completed their quarantine on June 18 and have since returned to their home countries.
The virus-stricken ship arrived in Rotterdam on May 18 and the crew was placed in quarantine. After tests at the beginning of the week came back negative, the quarantine could be ended.
The outbreak of hantavirus on the Hondius was reported in early May. Three of those infected on board died, but no new deaths have been reported since May 2.
The ship has been renovated and is back in operation with a new crew in the Arctic.
