Crime Rates Drop as Online Fraud Rises in First Half of 2025

Thousands of fewer crimes were reported during the first six months of the year compared to last year. Clearly fewer people are exposed to thefts in their homes or in their cars, but on the other hand, the number of reported frauds is increasing. Our routines and lives are moving more and more online and then crime does too, says criminologist Manne Gerell.
