Stockholm Pride is the Nordic region's largest pride festival and is being held for the 27th year in a row. Over 200 teams participated in the parade.
14-year-old Finn Falkeborn walked in the parade together with his dad.
I think it's important that everyone gets to be who they are, and that you support it, he said to Dagens Nyheter.
According to the police, it has been calm during the parade – even though they have had to intervene on a few occasions. It has, among other things, been about people who have behaved disruptively and therefore been removed, and two gatherings that did not have a permit.
People have conveyed different messages, but I cannot go into what those messages are, says the police's press spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
He emphasizes that no situations have arisen that have been perceived as threatening.
Several politicians walked in this year's pride parade. The Liberals' Simona Mohamsson was the only party leader from the government who participated. Also Magdalena Andersson (S), Anna-Karin Hatt (C), Nooshi Dadgostar (V) as well as the spokespersons Amanda Lind and Daniel Helldén (Green party) walked in the parade.
The Sweden Democrats have not been welcome at Stockholm Pride since 2014.
