The US President Donald Trump's statements about negotiations for peace in Ukraine with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, as well as American import tariffs, were on the agenda for the evening meeting in Munich, according to the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
Among others, Ulf Kristersson, Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, and Norway's Jonas Gahr Støre, as well as state and government leaders from the Baltic countries, participated.
Kristersson writes in a post on X after the meeting that "we stand fully behind Ukraine".
"The Nordic-Baltic countries are working to ensure Ukraine has as strong a position as possible. Ukraine must win Russia's war of aggression", the Prime Minister continues.
In a joint statement at the security conference, they also demand that Ukraine and Europe be included in negotiations to achieve a just and sustainable peace, and want to see strong security guarantees and the protection of the country's territorial integrity.
"The outcome of the war will have fundamental and long-term effects on European and transatlantic security", write the Prime Ministers, including Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party).
