A detainee has been found dead in the remand prison in Sollentuna north of Stockholm. According to the Prison and Probation Service, the man, who was in his 70s, was found lifeless on Saturday morning, writes Aftonbladet.
The staff initiated CPR and followed their routines in this type of incident, says Jonas Bennert at the Prison and Probation Service to TT.
The man was confirmed dead. The police have launched an investigation into the incident. The Prison and Probation Service will also investigate the event.
Jonas Bennert says the man had been detained for a shorter period of time.
