Two people have died and 20 people have been injured in a snowstorm in northern France, according to local authorities.
One of the people who died slipped on the sidewalk and hit their head severely. The other person had no fixed address and was found dead in the city of Valenciennes.
The snowstorm struck on Wednesday. According to the local authorities, the rescue services have handled, among other things, traffic accidents, floods, and people who have fallen in the snow and on the ice.
