The President of the USA, Donald Trump, writes on Truth Social that Canada's decision to recognize Palestine as a state will make it more difficult to reach a customs agreement between the countries.
"Wow, Canada has just announced that the country supports the recognition of Palestine as a state. It will make it very difficult for us to reach a customs agreement with them. Oh, Canada!!!” Trump writes on his social media platform Truth Social.
The USA has previously threatened Canada with customs duties of 35 percent. Negotiations between the countries are ongoing.
