Sweden traveled to Aberdeen as reigning World Champions – and left Scotland with the same title.
The team in the World Championship in mixed curling won eleven straight matches, where the last one was the final that Mikaela Altebro, Johannes Patz, Rebecka Thunman, Simon Granbom won with 5–4.
Japan started best, took a single point in the first round but after three straight ones, Sweden took hold of the gold, which ultimately led to a defended title.
