Sweden acquaintance Patrick Thoresen becomes new sports responsible for Norway's ice hockey men.
The 41-year-old ended his active career in the spring, after helping Djurgården up to SHL. Now he will instead try to lift the Norwegian national team to new heights.
It is first and foremost a fine role to enter into directly after the career. I have played together with many of the players I now will cooperate with, says Thoresen, who has made 105 A-international matches for Norway.
Few Norwegian ice hockey players have as heavy merits as Thoresen. In addition to playing in SHL and hockeyallsvenskan with Djurgården, he has played in both NHL (Philadelphia and Edmonton) and Russian KHL.
