Sweden gets a tough premiere in the men's ice hockey World Championship next year. Tre Kronor starts the championship in Switzerland against the most world champion Canada on May 15. Sweden plays all its matches in Fribourg.

The World Championship 2026 will be a chance for revenge for both nations. Blue and yellow had set their sights on gold at home in the spring but had to settle for bronze. For the Canadians, the World Championship was a major fiasco, with an exit already in the quarterfinals against Denmark.

Tre Kronor's schedule in the World Championship 2026: 15/5 Canada, 17/5 Denmark, 18/5 Czech Republic, 20/5 Slovenia, 22/5 Italy, 23/5 Norway, 26/5 Slovakia.

In the other group, which is decided in Zurich, the following teams play: USA, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Latvia, Austria, Hungary and Great Britain.
