”I refused to sign any documents that required me to acknowledge guilt, because I am an honest person”, writes Bekh-Romantchuk on social media and continues:

”It hurts me that my case has been handled carelessly and that the necessary investigation was not conducted”.

The doping test was conducted in December 2024, and the 30-year-old has been suspended since May this year.

Bekh-Romantchuk has two silver medals from the World Championship in the events long jump and triple jump, as well as a World Championship silver medal in triple jump indoors. She has also taken European Championship gold in triple jump.

The decision on the suspension can be appealed to the Sports Arbitration Court (Cas).
