It became a duel between two Swedish teams in the first round of the double tournament at the WTT competition Europe Smash in Malmö. Truls Möregårdh and Anton Källberg were pitted against Mattias Falck and Kristian Karlsson – and it became a thriller.
The first two sets were even, especially the second which ended 17–15 to Falck/Karlsson, which meant 1–1 in sets.
Then the two teams each took a clear set win with 11–5 and 11–7 respectively, and 2–2 in sets was the score before the fifth and decisive set.
Then Möregårdh and Källberg drew the longest straw. The duo won the last set with 11–7 and a total of 3–2 in sets.
