Olympic Games silver medalist Truls Möregårdh has advanced to the second round (round of 16) in the WTT table tennis tournament in Frankfurt after defeating Dane Jonathan Groth 3–1 in sets.
It became a bit closer than Möregårdh had wished, and he lost the third set to the 26th-ranked Dane.
We know each other very well, it's only 30 minutes between Sweden and Denmark and we train a lot together. I have great respect for Jonathan as a player and person, I'm very glad I could win the match, says the 11th-ranked Swede in the post-match interview on Youtube.
