Holding a clean sheet for an entire season is an achievement in itself. To still finish second, that's probably sports history.

Ängelholm's ladies in division 4 know how it is and have now gone viral on social media, even outside of Sweden.

It feels really crazy that it's gotten so much attention. It's nothing we thought would happen, says the team's 17-year-old goalkeeper Nellie Bengtsson to Helsingborgs Dagblad.

Among the accounts that have shared ÄFF-ladies' fate is Sportbible with 7.7 million followers on Instagram.

The team missed out on the league title because they played three matches that ended 0–0. Ljungbyhed, who finished first, lost a total of five points and won the league by a single point.

In the comments on social media, one user writes, among other things: "insanity – I doubt I'll see anything like it again".

Corrected: In an earlier version, the incorrect number of lost points for Ljungbyhed was stated. The correct number is five points.
