The USA's former president Donald Trump believes that foreign students who graduate from American colleges and universities should automatically be granted a visa, a so-called "green card".
What I want to do and what I will do is that when you graduate from a college, then I think you should automatically receive a green card along with your degree certificate to be able to stay in the country, says Trump.
The Republicans' presumed presidential candidate in the autumn election gave the answer in an interview with the podcast "All in" in response to a question about how American companies can attract "the best and brightest".
Trump's stance on migration issues is often characterised by a tougher approach and heated outbursts. Last year, for example, he said that migrants "pollute American blood", a statement he has both defended and repeated since then.
Among the Trump campaign's most prominent messages are promises of significantly reduced immigration and the deportation of millions of migrants.
