Just as many – 16 percent – are most worried about rising interest rates and inflation, a survey by Länsförsäkringar and Verian shows.
The Swedish economy appears uncertain. At the same time, a dampened inflation and lower interest rates are experienced – factors that Swedes are also most hopeful about.
"Despite the fact that inflation has normalized and interest rates are falling, it is these factors that Swedes are both most hopeful and worried about. It is a reflection of the fact that the past few years have been trying for households," says Alexandra Stråberg, chief economist at Länsförsäkringar, in a press release.
Worsening climate change and an escalation of the war in Ukraine are what people are most worried about in the global economy going forward.
"These factors are clearly ranked higher than, for example, trade wars, which may become the major economic issue in 2025," says Stråberg.
