Brazil: Trump has, according to the White House, this week signed a decision to raise the US's tariffs against Brazil from 10 to 50 percent if the country proceeds with the lawsuit against former president Jair Bolsonaro. Almost 700 products are, however, exempt from the tariffs, including orange juice and coffee, according to New York Times.

Trump also motivates the threat with the high tariff rate with the BRICS cooperation (an intergovernmental cooperation between Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) and energy trade with Russia. On the White House's list for the presidential order, however, the tariff rate of 10 percent remains for Brazil.

Syria: 41 percent

Myanmar and Laos: 40 percent

Switzerland: 39 percent

Canada: 35 percent: Punished in a separate presidential order with a significant increase in tariffs from 25 to 35 percent, however with exceptions for a number of goods. A reason behind the tariff dispute is, according to Trump, that Canada has treated the US "poorly for a long time".

Iraq and Serbia: 35 percent

Bosnia and Herzegovina: 30 percent

Libya and South Africa: 30 percent

Moldova and Kazakhstan: 25 percent

Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Taiwan: 20 percent

Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, and the Philippines: 19 percent

EU: 15-percent tariffs for most goods from the EU to the US.

Norway, Nigeria, Japan, and South Korea: 15 percent

United Kingdom: 10 percent.

Ongoing negotiations:

Mexico: After talks with Mexico's president Claudia Sheinbaum, Trump extends the tariff pause with Mexico for 90 days. During the 90-day period, 50-percent tariffs on metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper and 25-percent on vehicles still apply.

India: Threatened with a tariff of 25 percent on all imports with a possible additional punitive tariff. Trump motivates this with India's purchase of Russian oil, which he believes contributes to financing Russia's continued invasion of Ukraine.

China: China is not included in the new presidential order. While negotiations are still ongoing, a tariff rate of 30 percent on imported goods from China to the US applies. The tariff pause currently applies until August 12. If no agreement is reached, the US threatens to respond again with 100-percent tariffs. China, however, has a strong negotiating card with its extraction and production of rare earth metals.

For countries that have not received any message, a tariff rate of at least 10 percent is expected, according to the White House.
