Israel demands that the remains in question be released no later than Thursday, which is one day earlier than agreed, reports Israeli Keshet 12, citing its sources.
The bodies are the last four that, according to the agreement, are to be handed over to Israel during the first phase of the current ceasefire, which expires on Sunday.
According to Keshet 12, talks are also underway to extend the first phase and, within its framework, to carry out additional prisoner and hostage exchanges between Israel and Hamas, which is labeled as a terrorist organization.
Israel has yet to release the over 600 imprisoned Palestinians who, according to the agreement, were to be released on Saturday. This has been explained by Israel's anger over Hamas' "display" of coffins during last week's handover of four dead hostages in Gaza.
