The person who was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder in Vännäs in Västerbotten has been released, according to the police on their website.
It was on Tuesday morning that the police were alerted about an injured man. According to the initial reports, he was awake and able to talk when he was taken to the hospital, but later it was announced that he had died.
There were circumstances surrounding the death that led the police to suspect a crime and a person was arrested and detained later on Tuesday as reasonably suspected of murder, the lower degree of suspicion.
Now the police announce that the detention has been lifted after a decision from the prosecutor. The suspicion has been weakened and the person is no longer reasonably suspected.
