Spotify is considering leaving Turkey, reports The Times.

According to the newspaper, Spotify is looking at a number of scenarios, including "pausing its operations on the market or leaving Turkey altogether", reports The Times and refers to sources within the company.

Spotify states that they are cooperating with Turkish authorities but that they will not allow users to be "censored".

Turkey's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu recently criticized Spotify for "insulting" content, including playlists directed against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's wife Emine Erdogan.
