In late May, a man, who was charged with murder of a woman in Strömstad, was found dead in his cell in Uddevalla.
An investigation was initiated where a fellow inmate was initially suspected of murder but later released. The investigation instead shows that it is a case of suicide, reports P4 Väst.
According to prosecutor Daniel Veivo Pettersson, it is extensive work that has led to the decision.
I am confident in making the assessment that it is not a matter of murder, or manslaughter or any other crime, he says to Sveriges Radio.
