A boy in his late teens is said to have been splashed with some kind of fuel at a campsite in Strömstad on Saturday evening.
There are several perpetrators on site who, according to reports, set fire to it and then fled the scene, says police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
The boy was taken to hospital with burns, but was awake and able to speak. It is currently unclear how extensive the injuries are.
The initial reports are burns to the arm and head in some way, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
The police cordoned off the area.
We have searched the area, but have not found anyone, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated assault, but no one has been arrested yet.
