The woman, who is a Norwegian citizen, drove over the bridge at the beginning of February. To the customs personnel, she said that she had only visited a girlfriend in Denmark, but it turned out that she had with her just over 20 kilos of cocaine.
In retrospect, she has claimed that she was threatened and forced to take the bag with her. But according to the Customs Authority, the content of chats between the woman and the client indicates a friendly relationship.
"There is much that is contradictory in her story. Why did her husband rent a car for her when she already owns a car? Why does she have a notebook where she calculates the costs for a house purchase abroad?" says Anders Svensson at the Customs Authority's criminal department South in a press release.
The trial against the woman begins on July 24 in Malmö district court.
