A man has died in an accident during mountain hiking in the area of Kårsavagge near Abisko, which occurred on Saturday, according to the police.
It is a man who has fallen from a height, a cliff, and died in connection with it, says the police's press spokesperson Maria Linné.
The alarm came in at 22.30 on Saturday. Police and mountain rescuers went to the scene and then found the man dead.
There is no information that the man, who was in his 60s and from Germany, should have had company in connection with the accident.
There are, according to the police, no suspicions of a crime.
