Slovenia's parliament has voted to approve a Palestinian state – and defies opposition's proposal to postpone the vote.
Slovenia's government approved the proposal last week, but also needed to be approved by parliament – which occurred in a vote on Tuesday evening.
The Slovenian decision comes shortly after Spain, Norway, and Ireland recognized a Palestinian state, a decision that has been condemned by Israel.
