At least eight people are reported to have been killed in what is described by Iranian state media as a "terror attack" in the province of Baluchistan in southeastern Iran.
Armed men are said to have attacked a courthouse building in the province and three of the dead are reported to be civilians.
State television reports that at least 20 people have been injured in the attack.
The Iranian news agency Fars, which is controlled by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, writes that explosions have been heard in connection with the courthouse building and that suicide bombers may have been involved.
Iranian media writes that the Baluchistan jihadist group Jaish al-Adl has taken responsibility for the attack.
