Three spectators have died after a car went off the road in the amateur competition Rallye de la Fourme near Arlanc, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in central France.
The three dead were all men, two of whom were brothers, 60 and 70 years old. The third was 44 years old, according to the French prosecution authority.
The driver is lightly injured, according to France Info, which also reports that the dead spectators were in a place where they were not allowed to be.
The rally competition has also been previously affected by accidents. Last year, a competition leader was killed when he was hit by a car.
