The Göta Court of Appeal changed the sentences for the two men arrested during a police raid in Skänninge in autumn 2023 on Thursday. The men, aged 26 and 27, were sentenced in April by the district court to nine and four years' imprisonment, respectively, for, among other things, kidnapping.
The 26-year-old had his prison sentence reduced from nine years to six years and six months by the Göta Court of Appeal. After serving his sentence, he will be deported.
The Göta Court of Appeal also changed the kidnapping sentence for the 27-year-old, reducing the sentence from four years to three years and six months in prison.
The two men will jointly pay damages of 105,600 kronor.
