Alexandre de Moraes, chairman of Brazil's Constitutional Court, has accused X (formerly Twitter) of not cleaning up on the platform. Furthermore, the court has demanded that the company have a legal representative in place in the country.
X and its owner Elon Musk have not complied, and therefore the platform was shut down in Brazil over the weekend, until the company agrees to the demands.
Now Elon Musk is launching a frontal attack on de Moraes, whom he describes as a fake, a dictator, and Voldemort on his X account.
"He can block this platform in Brazil, but he can't prevent the whole world from finding out about his illegal, shameful, and hypocritical actions. Karma is a bitch, bro", Musk writes.
Elon Musk has now launched a smear campaign with a new X account, solely to publish evidence of various irregularities by de Moraes. He accuses the judge, among other things, of interfering in Brazil's presidential election. Something that, according to Musk, could result in 20 years in prison.
X's owner also writes that "it unfortunately seems that former Twitter employees" helped de Moraes with this.
According to the court ruling in Brazil, X has been allowed to be a forum for various extremists who have been spreading Nazi and other hate rhetoric and anti-democratic content, including before the regional elections in the country in October.
Technically, the service can still be accessed through so-called VPN programs that can bypass internet borders.
However, according to the Supreme Court's ruling, anyone who uses X despite the ban risks fines of 50,000 real, equivalent to approximately 100,000 Swedish kronor.
