Sara Junevik's success at the European Championship in Belgrad continues.
On Friday, the Swede took a new medal, namely a bronze on 100 metres butterfly.
Junevik led the race after half the distance, but couldn't quite make it all the way to the end and was beaten by both Belgian Roos Vanotterdijk and Greek Georgia Damasioti.
But despite this, it wasn't just noise and jubilation for the 24-year-old. The Swede finished with a time of 58.06, which was a new personal best, but not enough to reach the Olympic qualifying standard. The qualifying standard is 57.92, which means Junevik missed it by just 14 hundredths.
That was probably the first thing I felt when I crossed the finish line and saw the time. It's almost as if I'm not getting any closer, she says to SVT.
Earlier in the championship, Junevik took European Championship gold on 50 metres butterfly.
